October 7:  Many thanks to the Sydenham District Association and the moderator, Bill Hutchins, for hosting the All Candidates Meeting.  Thank you to all that attended.  Congratulation to all my fellow candidates for a lively discussion.

October 6: Thank you to Chamber of Commerce for hosting the Coffee & Connection  Meet the City Council Candidates event at the Seniors Association Kingston Region

​

September 30:  I attended two National Day for Truth and Reconciliation events: One at Queen's University and the Walk from Skeleton Park to City Hall.  It was great to see the people of Kingston come together to show our support for meaningful reconciliation. 

​

September 28: Thank you to Winnie Peters and the residents of Tibi Moza for welcoming me, my wife and son to your home. I was impressed by the quality of care and the sense of community at Tibi Moza. It was a truly inspiring visit - a showcase of how the Indigenous Community in partnership with the City and supported by Sydenham neighbours can provide the supportive housing for those in need. 

​

September 23: Thank you to Renew Kingston for the invitation to Transitional Housing in Kingston: The Path Forward A Community Forum with Kingston’s Mayoral Candidates.  I am looking forward to this event. 

​

September 21:  Meeting with Queen's AMS Society

​

September 20: Thank you to the residents of the Annadale Condominium for meeting with me.  I enjoyed hearing your views regarding the Sydenham District as well as our City. 

​

September 17:  I will be attending the City's Update on the Housing and Homelessness Plan at the downtown library at 1pm. 

​

September 14: Mayoral All-Candidates Meeting 6:30 pm, at The Spire, 82 Sydenham Street.

​

September 10.  I will be attending the ALTO information session held at the Royal Canadian Legion (734 Montreal Street) beginning at 5pm. 

​

September 8: Thank you to the Sydenham District Association's invitation to their social at the Frontenac Club

​

September 1:  Met with Krista LeClair, Chief Executive Officer of Kingston Accommodation Partners (KAP).  If I elected, I will support the work of KAP to further develop tourism as an important sector of Kingston's economy

​

August 28: Great event hosted by the Sydenham District Association's City Park Movie Night in City Park.  

​

August 22:  Very grateful to have heard the talks by the Founders of Feed the People and Threads of Hope at Lake Ontario Park today. 

​

August 18:  Many thanks to Lola Hustins, Assistant News Editor, The Queen's Journal for raising awareness of the municipal elections by interviewing me and all the other candidates running for municipal office.  Look for the candidate interviews in the upcoming issue of the Queen's Journal

​

August 14: Many thanks to Carl Bray - one of Canada's highly regarded experts in Heritage Planning and Conservation for meeting with me to discuss issues of concern to Sydenham District.

​

August 13: Thank you to Dan Irwin for inviting me to tour the Partners in Mission Foodbank.

​

August 11:  Thank you to Nick Graham, Vice-Chair, and Kevin Wood, Chair of the Sydenham District Association for meeting with me to discuss the SDA's concerns.  I will note here the SDA is not endorsing any candidate.

​

July 25:  Concerned citizens rally regarding Provincial Government under-funding of education - changes to OSAP. Thanks to Ted for your support.  This post is for information only and does not represent an endorsement of my campaign by the MPP.

June 14: A great time was had at the Mabuhay Festival Kingston celebration of Heritage Month hosted by Mabuhay Fil Can Inc. at Confederation Park see https://mabuhayfilcan.ca/mabuhay-festival.

June 13: It was my honour to have attended the 9th Annual Diversity Dinner, Inclusive Spaces, Make Great Places Hosted by Canadian Colour Kingston Foundation and BGC South East at the BGC South East West End Community Centre 1300 Bath Road
