I am devoting this page to provide specific information for student electors.

Why Vote for me?
YES! I am likely older than your parents. So why vote for me?
-
Your vote will allow me to draw on my experience supporting students and contributing to our community. For example:
-
As both a former student and current Associate Professor at Queen’s, I understand students’ perspectives.
-
I had organized a Sustainable Campus Planning Workshop at RSH, which brought together students, residents, and Queen’s planners.
-
As a member of the City’s Ward Boundary Review Committee, I advocated for greater consideration of student electors.
-
I am circulating a student-focused campaign flyer to raise awareness of students’ eligibility to vote in municipal elections.
-
-
As City Councillor, I will
-
Collaborate with students, other community members and groups to tackle the city's most pressing social and economic issues, including affordable housing, food security, reconciliation, environmental protection, urban sprawl, economic development, and transit planning
-
Ensure the City’s recently commissioned Student Housing Strategy (SHS) is completed by 2028, effectively addresses core student concerns, and is aggressively implemented by Council
-
I am committed to advancing student concerns regarding affordable housing and ensuring that housing options are better integrated with city transit improvements.
-
Work with Queen’s to ensure the increase in the supply of affordable on-campus housing.
-
I will also direct City staff to explore new ways the City can financially support students by creating meaningful, paid internship opportunities.
